Meet Emma
She has three decades of experience in writing and communication, specializing in:
Assessing, writing, editing, and refining proposal content.
Guiding writers and teams to improve their professional practices.
Collaborating with business partners to craft language that resonates with their prospects.
How did she get here?
Emma has always loved words. She could read before starting kindergarten, always had her nose in a book throughout childhood and adolescence, and took every English OAC she could in high school.
Words have always mattered. And as a professional, she found her niche in proposal development.
Today, Emma provides empathetic, compassionate leadership to stakeholders motivating the delivery of high quality, winning proposals.
As a writer and professional, Emma also has more than two decades of communication experience in employee and organizational mental health. This includes intimate understanding of how to simply and accurately represent the breadth and depth of clinical delivery, critical incident response, substance use management; short- and long-term disability case management, both occupational and non-occupational; telemedicine; occupational health resourcing; and organizational training and wellness.
2003

Finding her passion
Emma spent almost two decades evolving with an organization that now goes by Telus Health.
She joined Warren Shepell Consultants Corporation as Regional Coordinator. When the company bought fgiWorld and evolved into Shepell-fgi in 2007, she moved into employee mental health sales, earning sales associate of the year in 2008.
As the organization evolved into Morneau Shepell in 2009, Emma joined the proposals team, and there reconnected to her first passion. Words. She made her mark in this role, quickly being promoted to senior writer.
Perfecting her craft
She was offered an opportunity that changed the trajectory of her career - joining Inkblot Technologies as the first dedicated Proposal resource.
In this role, she developed processes, procedures, managed projects, wrote responses, managed a language library, hired her first writer, and wrote some of the most impactful bids of her career in her first six months.
Year-end results for 2022 demonstrated a 28.8% win-rate for known outcomes; factoring in short-listed bids - a 48.8% result for known outcomes.
In 2023, Inkblot was merged into GreenShield.

2025

Building a business
By the time Emma stepped away from her final corporate role in 2025, the decision felt inevitable.
She knew it was time to shape her own future. She knew she had the skills, judgment, and passion to do work that mattered. And she knew the industry was ready, overdue even, for change.
She didn’t leave to replicate the status quo. She left to challenge it.
Let's work together.
